ATAL Online Privacy Policy
ATAL s.r.o. ("ATAL") is committed to protecting your privacy and personal information. Please read the following privacy policy to understand how your personal information will be handled when you use or register with ATAL Online, when you speak with a member of our customer service team, when you otherwise interact with ATAL.
What personal data does ATAL collect?
ATAL collects personal information when you provide it to us directly or when you use our website, for example:
- Information about you and the company you work for when you create an account with us. This may include your name and contact details, your company name and contact details, information about your role within the company and how you found out about the site.
- Transaction, billing and delivery information if you purchase from us or sign a contract for one of our solutions or services.
- Records of your interactions with us, for example, if you email us feedback on our website, ask a technical question, report a problem or contact us in any other way. Please note that if you call us, we may record the call for compliance, quality and staff training purposes.
- If you answer one of our customer surveys or take part in a competition.
- If you come into contact with one of our sales representatives, for example at a trade fair or at a customer's premises.
- We may also record certain information about your use of our website, such as the websites you came from or navigated to, your device's unique identifier, your IP address and operating system, the ads you clicked on, the products you searched for, the products you purchased, and the information you downloaded. The promotional emails we send you may also automatically detect whether you have received or opened the email or whether you have clicked on a link contained in our promotional literature. We use this information to measure our own performance and to provide you with personalized promotional messages and advertising.
- ATAL sometimes obtains information about you from third parties. In particular, we may obtain information about your job title and the company you work for from commercial databases.
Some of the above information is required to create accounts and make purchases. The mandatory nature of this information is indicated when you register or purchase our products or services. If you do not provide it, we may not be able to create an account for you or process your purchases. Unless otherwise stated, all other information is optional, but if you choose not to provide it, the marketing you receive may be less relevant and your experience may not be personalized.
How does ATAL use my personal data and what is the legal basis for its use?
Depending on how you use ATAL Online, how you interact with us and what permissions you give us, your personal information will be used for the following purposes:

Where we process personal data on the basis of legitimate interest, we have carried out a balancing exercise in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act to document our interests, consider the impact of the processing on individuals and determine whether the interests of individuals outweigh our interests in the processing.
Who does ATAL share my personal data with?
ATAL must share information with selected third parties in order to carry out its activities:
- Service providers: we provide information to our service providers who act on our behalf (e.g. companies that provide digital marketing services such as product recommendations, statistical analysis, business and operational analysis, website optimization) and to third parties involved in the supply chain (e.g. freight forwarding, courier and delivery companies). We also occasionally share personal data with our professional and legal advisors.
- National authorities: we can share information with UK customs and the country of destination. We may also share personal information with law enforcement or other government authorities, for example to report fraud or in response to a legal request.
- Credit and fraud control: we may pass data to credit bureaus and third parties involved in fraud prevention and detection.
- Media: from time to time, we may share aggregated and anonymous marketing statistics with our business partners or use them in press releases, advertisements or published reports. We will only personally identify you or any customer in such press releases, advertisements or reports with your prior consent.
- Transfer of business or assets: if we transfer business assets, our customers' personal information may be disclosed to a potential buyer. In such cases, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that the buyer is bound by the terms of this Privacy Policy.
ATAL may also disclose personal information if ATAL believes that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of ATAL, its customers, employees, or the public, or if ATAL is authorized to do so by law.
Where does ATAL store my personal data and for how long?
We retain your personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes described above, and this period will therefore vary depending on your interactions with us. For example, if you have made a purchase from us, we will keep a record of your purchase for the time necessary for billing, taxation and warranty purposes. We may also keep a record of correspondence with you (for example, if you have made a complaint about a product) for the period necessary to protect us from legal action.
If we no longer need your data, we will delete it. Please note that if you unsubscribe from our marketing communications, we will retain your email address to ensure that we do not send you promotional messages in the future.
What does ATAL do to protect my personal data?
ATAL always strives to offer its customers the highest level of service and security and this website has been specifically designed with security in mind. To ensure the safety and security of your personal information, we use the following security methods whenever you submit information:
- Your ATAL account and ATAL personal profile information is password protected so that only you have access to this personal information. You can change your ATAL Online account and ATAL Personal Profile information using your ATAL Online username and password.
How does ATAL use my personal data for commercial search purposes?
If you did not opt-out when you registered for an account and made a purchase, or if we did not ask you for consent for marketing purposes and you did not provide it, ATAL may email, call or text you about ATAL products and services.
It is likely that some or all of these promotional communications will be personalized based on what we know about you and/or your business, such as your personal online profile, your previous search and browsing history on ATAL Online, and your purchasing activities.
If you no longer wish to receive messages from us, you can do so at any time:
- unsubscribe from emails by clicking on the link in each email or
- send us an email to the following address: info@atal.cz with the subject "We will no longer receive marketing communications".
If necessary, you have the right to refuse direct marketing or profiling for direct marketing purposes (you can exercise this right at any time).
How can I access, update, correct or delete my personal information?
You can view and edit your personal profile information at any time by clicking on the "My Profile" section, which can be accessed at any time by clicking on the link in the navigation bar.
If you have forgotten your password or have other problems accessing ATAL Online, please contact ATAL Customer Service at info@atal.cz.
If you have any questions about your personal information that you cannot resolve through your personal online profile, please contact us using the details below. Under data protection legislation, you have the right to access (including in machine-readable format), rectify and erase your personal data, the right to object to or restrict the processing of your personal data, and the right to the portability of your personal data to another company or third party, and ATAL will comply with any request to exercise these rights in accordance with applicable law. However, please note that these rights are subject to a number of restrictions and we may not be able to comply with your request.
If we rely on your consent, you have the right to withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing based on your consent prior to its withdrawal. However, we may have other lawful grounds for processing your data for other purposes, such as those set out above.
Cookies
ATAL does not use cookies and similar technologies to ensure the functionality of ATAL Online, to improve the website and to personalize ATAL.
